Lyle Stucki and Charlie Gary already shared almost a dozen years of debt-collection experience when they founded Unique Management Services with the idea of working exclusively with libraries. After more than a decade, libraries are still our only clients.
We understand that libraries are unique and need a special kind of collection service. A service that emphasizes material recovery and patron goodwill. A service that is easy on the budget and easy on staff.
Based on that understanding, we have formed strategic partnerships with many of the library-automation vendors, including SirsiDynix, TLC/CARL, Innovative Interfaces, Polaris, Infor, and VTLS. We have worked with these and other vendors to develop solutions that allow our clients to compile and transmit account information automatically, with minimal day-to-day staff involvement. We have developed and acquired technology to enable us to process the data in an efficient patron friendly manner, allowing us to offer libraries the best value in the business.
We are located in Jeffersonville, Indiana, across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky. Our list of more than 850 clients includes libraries of all sizes located throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
